Mounjaro's list price is $1,069 per month, about $12,828 per year as of September 2026. Unlike the other major GLP-1 medications, Eli Lilly does not offer a direct self-pay program for Mounjaro, so your options are narrower:
- Commercial insurance plus savings card: for eligible patients with coverage, the Mounjaro savings card can bring copays as low as $25 per month. Mounjaro is approved for type 2 diabetes, so coverage is far more common for diabetes than for weight loss.
- No coverage: without insurance you are looking at list price from a pharmacy. Many self-pay patients are prescribed Zepbound instead: it is the same tirzepatide molecule, approved for weight management, and LillyDirect sells it for $299 to $449 per month.
- Medicare and Medicaid: government program beneficiaries are excluded from the savings card.
